Easter

It was Drake's first Easter and we had a lot of fun! He had 3 Easter egg hunts and received 3 Easter baskets. It was such a nice day on Easter, so Drake had a lot of fun being outside! Drake also rolled over for the first time last week. He rolled from tummy to back 4 times during the day and he has yet to do it again. I guess that now that he knows that he can do it, he decided that he doesn't have to do it again. Drake also started Little Gym this week. I know what you are thinking . . . "What does a 4 month old do at a gymnastics class?" Well, we do stretches, listen to music, have tummy time, sing songs, play with instruments and start working on some gymnastics skills to get them used to doing different movements. He learned how to do a backward roll (obviously with my help) and some activities on the beam. He also got to play with balls and bubbles at the end to help with his hand-eye coordination. We had a lot of fun! Especially since I got to see all my old co-workers again! So we had a lot of fun this week, hanging out with family and old friends!

Look at his cute smile!

Another Easter basket, Drake is so spoiled!

Drake also started eating rice cereal last week. We give him just a little bit before he goes to bed and he hates it! He is getting better at it now, but it definitely is not his favorite. Can we blame him though? It tastes awful! It tastes like the cardboard box that it comes in. But he is starting to get the hang of it and I actually think that he looks forward to having some. He starts getting fussy about 15 minutes before we give it to him then he is happy afterward.

Poor Poopy

I now know how hard it is to watch you kid be sick. Drake has been sick for the last couple days. He has a cough, runny nose and who knows what else. I feel so bad for him, he just seems like he feels horrible. If that isn't hard enough, both Chris and I caught what Drake has. I guess I am experiencing the fact that with kids, if one person is sick, everyone will become sick. Drake is a trooper though, he still has managed to smile and laugh at some point during the day. I just hope that he feels better soon, and same with Chris and I! Chris really wanted me to post this picture of Drake and his runny nose ... so here it is.

Ewwwwwww!!!!

Look how miserable he looks.

about to sneeze.

He still manages to smile though.
P.S. one of his nick names is Draky poopy pants (courtesy of his cousin Beck) hence the title.

Enjoying the nice weather

Finally, we had some good weather last week and was able to get outside. Drake and I went to the park, to Red Butte Gardens and for some walks! It was really good to get outside instead of being couped up in the house. The best part was that we went rock climbing! I haven't been since i got pregnant so it has been a while. Right before I became pregnant with Drake, Chris had bought me a harness and shoes, so this was the first time I was able to use them. Thankfully Lance, Teisa and Emie came with Chris, Drake and I to help us out! It was a lot of fun!

My trial run as a mother of two

So my sister and brother-in-law went to Hawaii for a week (unfair, I know) and so I watched their 2 year old. Chris and I stayed at their house with Drake and Emie and I got a crash coarse in parenting a toddler and infant. I had a lot of fun! I was nice to actually be able to play and talk to Emie and have her talk and play back. Emie was also a lot of help with Drake. She would hand me the diapers, wipes, burp clothes and blankets, so that was nice! I am lucky to have other nephews that are around Emie's age to have play dates with. I think Emie had a lot of fun with Drake and I, but I know she missed her mom and dad alot! Here are some pictures from my crazy week.

Thanks Emie for making this week so fun for Drake and I! I am going to miss you, and all of mine and Chris's family when we move this summer.

So we finally took Drake to get his pictures taken. They turned out way cute, so here they are. I know I only put updates about Drake on here but he is so much more fun to read about then Chris and I.
