My Mini Diaper Drive

I just wanted to thank those of you who donated to my diaper drive. In January I decided I wanted to do a little diaper drive. I had recently heard that some moms have to ration the amount of diaper's they use which causes them to only let their child have one diaper a day. Can you imagine? There are many government assistance programs for food, health insurance, etc., but there is nothing for diapers. We all know that diapers get expensive very quickly so I decided I wanted to do something to help. I figured the Milwaukee Woman's Center would be the perfect place to donate these diapers. And they were more than happy to take them! So thank you for donating! I really appreciate it and I know the moms and kids at the Center appreciate it also. I am thinking that I will do this again next year so hopefully I will be able to donate a little bit more. This time we got around 800 diapers! Maybe we can make it 1000 next year?

Sonja just started doing this cute crazy head thing. It is so funny so I had to post these videos. I posted both of them even though they are pretty much the same thing because I love how you can see how much she loves to watch Drake. They are so cute together!

Car Show, etc.

Life has been pretty boring around here. It seems like we have been busy, but when I think about it, I don't really know what I have done. Does that happen to anyone else? Anyways, a couple weeks ago we took Drake to the car show. Chris took Drake last year and Drake loved it so when we saw a Groupon for it again, we knew we had to it again. Once again Drake had a blast, but all he wanted to do was sit in the red cars. None of the other cars were cool enough I guess. Chris and I also looked around and all we kept thinking was "one day .....".

At the car show they were letting the kids drive these little cars around. Drake was so excited. But he did really understand that he had to stay in a certain area. I looked down to get my camera out and when I looked up, Drake was about to crash through the little fence they had up. Oops. So that is why you see Chris walking next to Drake, he had to make sure Drake didn't drive all crazy.
